Happy New Year! JF and I would like to wish you health, happiness and prosperity for 2025.

For December, the Wutherich & Co. Composite was up 0.3%.

December’s small gain capped-off a strong year for the Wutherich & Company Composite. Performance rode off the backs of (mostly) strong companies in the portfolio. In a Trump Chaos 2.0 world, our companies will not be immune. However, we believe that the strength of their managements, products and services will carry them through challenges that they might face.

Valuations of our portfolio companies are still very favourable. We believe that this should help us generate good returns over the long term. Of course, we are always looking for new names to add to the family. Many of the companies that we like, but currently don’t own, have done extremely well in 2024, pulling up their valuations.
